Student-loan payments can earn the 401(k) match
Some jobs now match your student-loan payments with money in your 401(k). Your boss does not pay your loan — the money goes into your retirement account. Say you earn $60,000 and pay $6,000 on your loans in a year; a 50% match adds $3,000 to your retirement. Not every job offers this, so ask your HR.
Good for: Workers with student loans at companies that offer this match.
